NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that H D Cobbald and Sons Limited, of Hall Farm, Little Bentley, Colchester, Essex, are applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Holland Brook at National Grid Ref TM 1352 2426 at Hall Farm, Little Bentley, Colchester. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 77.50 cubic metres per hour, 930 cubic metres per day, 139,560 cubic metres per year—between November and March each year. The water will be used to fill a reservoir for spray irrigation. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Hall Farm, Little Bentley, Colchester, Essex, between 21 March and 21 April 2003. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Eastern Area, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
