NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 of the Water Resources Act 1991, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by High Elms Cottages Management Association for consent to discharge 5 cubic metres per day of Treated Sewage effluent from 1-6 High Elms Cottages, Woodside Road, Leavesden into Land at National Grid Ref TL 1066 0189. Details of the proposal are contained in the register held by the Agency at its office in Frimley. The register is held at Apollo Court, 2 Bishops Square, Hatfield Business Park, St Albans Road West, Hatfield, Hertfordshire AL10 9EX and may be inspected, free of charge, from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday inclusive. Inquiries by telephone (01707 632300) may be made between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday inclusive. Any person who wishes to make representations or objections with respect to the application should do so, in writing, to the Regulatory Officer, Water Quality, Environment Agency, Apollo Court, 2 Bishops Square, Hatfield Business Park, St Albans Road West, Hatfield, Hertfordshire AL10 9EX, quoting application number N/WR 0560 not later than 2 May 2003. The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties, it is decided that consent can be given, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that the effluent receives treatment before discharge to the receiving waters so that the above aims are met.
