HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (DENWICK INTERCHANGE SLIP ROADS) ORDER 200

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make the following Order: An Order under section 10 of the Highways Act 1980, which will provide that the A1 northbound exit slip road at its junction with the A1 Trunk Road to its junction with the B1340, a distance of 300 metres, and the A1 northbound entry slip road at its junction with the A1 Trunk Road to its junction with the B1340, a distance of 250 metres; both near Denwick in the county of Northumberland, shall become trunk roads from the date when the Order comes into force. Copies of the draft Order and the plan referred to in it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours from 20 March 2003 until 8 May 2003, or within 7 weeks from the date of first publication of this notice if that period expires later, at the Highways Agency, Information Point, Ground Floor, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3HW; at the offices of the Highways Agency, Operations Division, PO Box 206, 9th Floor West, City House, New Station Street, Leeds LS1 4UR; at the offices of the County Secretary, Northumberland County Council, County Hall, Morpeth, Northumberland; at the office of the Town Clerk, Alnwick District Council, Allerburn House, Denwick Lane, Alnwick NE66 1EY; and at Alnwick Library, Green Batt, Alnwick. Any person may object to the making of this Order not later than 8 May 2003, or within 7 weeks from the date of first publication of this notice if that period expires later, by notice to the Secretary of State at the offices of the Highways Agency, Operations Division, PO Box 206, 9th Floor West, City House, New Station Street, Leeds LS1 4UR quoting Ref HA 65/44/10 and stating the grounds of objection. In the preparation of an objection and the statement of grounds of objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it.
