Notice is hereby given that an objector to the Secretary of State for Transport’s draft Orders listed above has submitted an alternative proposal for the A14 Rookery Crossroads Grade Separated Junction scheme to that published by the Highways Agency. The alternative proposal is described as follows: Alternative Ref A Description Alternative private means of access to serve residential properties at Chapmans Close and Rose Cottages. As a result the A14 in the vicinity of these properties would be realigned slightly to the south of that proposed by the Secretary of State for Transport. A plan of the alternative proposal has been circulated to those directly affected by it and may be obtained by contacting the Highways Agency on 01234 796023. Comments about the alternative proposal should be sent to the Highways Agency, Room 221, Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL as soon as possible, quoting Ref HA 65/11/51. Public local inquiries into the above Orders are to be held at Rougham Sports Hall, Rougham, Bury St Edmunds starting at 10.00 am on Tuesday 25 March 2003.
