THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO 72) ORDER 2003
CLARENDON STREET/CUMBERLAND STREET/LUPUS STREET/SUTHERLAND STREET/WESTMORELAND PLACE AND WESTMORELAND TERRACE

1. Notice is hereby given that Westminster City Council on 19 March 2003 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the Orders will be to: (a) provide additional residents’ parking spaces on the south-west side of Westmoreland Terrace and on the north side of Lupus Street, west of Westmoreland Place; (b) extend the 4-hour “shared use” parking place on the north-east side of Westmoreland Terrace; (c) convert and extend the 2-hour “pay and display” parking place on the north-east side of Westmoreland Terrace to “shared use” parking (available for “A” zone resident permit holders and ticket metered parking); (d) convert and extend a 2-hour metered parking place on the north-west side of Clarendon Street to “shared use” parking; (e) introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions at the junctions of Westmoreland Terrace with Sutherland Street, Clarendon Street with Cumberland Street and Lupus Street with Westmoreland Place. (Note: The Orders also contain minor drafting amendments to regularise the definitions of certain metered and residents’ parking places on the south-west side of Sutherland Street.) 3. The classes of vehicles for which the parking places referred to in paragraph 2 above will be available, the charges for their use, the hours of operation, etc, will remain unchanged. 4. The Orders, which will come into force on 24 March 2003, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Parkman Ltd, Third Floor, Mountbarrow House, 6-20 Elizabeth Street, London SW1W 9RB, until 30 April 2003. 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of either of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to either of the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 30 April 2003.
