THE ISLINGTON (POLICE VEHICLES CLEARWAY) (NO ) ORDER 200

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Islington propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 7(1) to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. 2. The general effect of the Order would be to provide three Police Vehicle Clearways near the junction of Tolpuddle Street and Penton Street, one on the north-west side of Tolpuddle Street, one on the south-east side of Tolpuddle Street and one on the north-east side of Penton Street. 3. The Police Vehicles Clearways Order would provide that only a vehicle identified as a vehicle used for police purposes would be allowed to stop for as long as may be necessary at the police vehicles clearways, provided that in all circumstances it is reasonably necessary for the vehicle to stop in the place in which it is stopping. 4. A copy of the proposed Order, of plans indicating details of the measures referred to in paragraph 2 above, and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order at the following location: Transport and Design, 222 Upper Street, Islington, London N1 1YA. 5. Further information may be obtained by telephoning Ryan Rodrigues, Contract Manager, Parking Services, on 020 7527 1355. 6. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing to Ross Penwill, Transport & Design, Room 335, 222 Upper Street, London N1 1YA, within 21 days of the date of this notice.
