THE ISLINGTON (AMWELL 20 MPH ZONE) (NO  ) TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER 2003 NO  

1. Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Islington propose to make the above-mentioned Order under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Order will be to reduce vehicle speeds and therefore improve safety by introducing a 20 mph zone in the following lengths of road. The 20 mph zone is bounded by Pentonville Road, St John’s Street, Roseberry Avenue, Farringdon Road, King’s Cross Road and Penton Rise and includes all the roads within this defined boundary. The roads included are Amwell Street, Arlington Way, Attneave Street, Claremont Square, Cruickshank Street, Cumberland Gardens, Easton Street, Fernsbury Street, Granville Square, Granville Street, Great Percy Street, Hardwick Street, Holford Street, Inglebert Street, Lloyd Baker Street, Lloyd Square, Lloyd Street, Margery Street, Merlin Street, Myddleton Square, Mylne Street, Naoroji Street, Percy Circus, Prideaux Place, River Street, St Helena Street, Tysoe Street, Vernon Rise, Vernon Square, Wharton Street, Wilmington Square, Wilmington Street and Yardley Street. 3. A copy of the proposed Order, of plans indicating details of the measures referred to above, and of the Council’s statement of reason for proposing to make the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be the Council decides not to make the Order at the following location: Municipal Office, 222 Upper Street, Islington, London N1 1YA.
