The Secretary of State hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Tyne and Wear) (No 4) Order 2003” authorising the stopping-up of an area of highway of Lumley Avenue, South Shields, Tyne and Wear to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted to A Abdullah by South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council on 24 May 2002 under Ref ST/00390/02/DM. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Secretary of State at the offices of the Director Environment Group, Government Office for the North East, Wellbar House, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4TD (quoting Ref GO-NE/02/5038/35/12) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of the South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council, Town Hall and Civic Offices, Westoe Road, South Shields, Tyne and Wear. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 20 March 2003 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
