THE HARINGEY (RESTRICTION OF WAITING AT BUS STOPS) (AMENDMENT NO 29) TRAFFIC ORDER 2003

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey, hereinafter called the Council, on 20 March 2003, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of The Haringey (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No 93) Order 2003 would be to further amend the Haringey (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (No 1) Order 1994 so that waiting by vehicles would be prohibited along sections of High Road, Tottenham. 3. The general effect of The Haringey (Restriction of Waiting at Bus Stops) (Amendment No 29) Traffic Order 2003 would be to further amend The Haringey (Restriction of Waiting on Bus Stops) (Special Parking Area) (No 1) Order 1994 so that all vehicles except buses are prohibited from waiting at any time on the bus stops. Details of exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Orders of 1994. 4. The general effect of the Prescribed Routes (No 2) Traffic Order 2003 would be to prohibit any vehicle from turning left into Dowsett Road. 5. Copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on 21 March 2003, and of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders and a plan showing the locations and effects of the Orders may be inspected during a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, during normal office working hours at Hornsey Town Hall, The Broadway, Crouch End, Hornsey, London N8. 6. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Orders, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
