ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE A10 LOCAL ROAD (CITY OF LONDON) (SIDE ROADS) (RED ROUTE) TRAFFIC ORDER 1999 GLA VARIATION ORDER 2003

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it has made the above-named Order, on 19 March 2003, under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The A10 Local Road (City of London) (Red Route) (Side Roads) Traffic Order 1999 Experimental Variation Order 2001 (“the experimental Order”) was made under section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and came into force on 27 September 2001. 3. Transport for London has carefully considered whether or not the provisions of the experimental Order should be continued indefinitely and has decided that they should be so continued. 4. Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on Transport for London by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in accordance with regulation 23 of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, Transport for London has made The A10 Local Road (City of London) (Red Route) (Side Roads) Traffic Order 1999 Variation Order 2003 (“the permanent Order”). That Order will come into force on 26 March 2003 and the effect of that Order will be to continue in force indefinitely the provisions of the experimental Order. 5. The roads affected by the permanent Order are Eastcheap, Fish Street Hill, Talbot Court, Fenchurch Street, Lombard Street, Cornhill, Leadenhall Street, Threadneedle Street, Great St Helens, Wormwood Street, Camomile Street, Houndsditch, Aldermans Walk, White Hart Court, Liverpool Street, Devonshire Row, New Street, Artillery Lane, Brushfield Street and Primrose Street. 6. A copy of the permanent Order, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and a copy of the experimental Order can be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of: Transport for London, Street Management, Statutory Functions—Traffic Orders, 25 Eccleston Place, London SW1W 9NF; and The Corporation of London, PO Box 270, Guildhall, Town Clerk’s Office, London EC2P 2EJ. 7. Any person desiring to question the validity of the permanent Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers, or that any of the relevant requirements have not been complied with in relation to that Order, may, within 6 weeks of the date on which that Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
