ONE-WAY WORKING IN ABCHURCH LANE
ADDITIONAL WAITING RESTRICTIONS/CHANGES TO PARKING IN FINSBURY CIRCUS

1. Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of the City of London, on 14 March 2003, made: (a) the City of London (Prescribed Routes) (No 2) Traffic Order 2003 and the City of London (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment) (No 11) Order 2003 under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; (b) the City of London (Parking Places) (Revocation No 1) Order 2003 and the City of London (Doctor Parking Places) (No 1) Order 2003 under section 45 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 2003. 2. The general effect of the Orders will be to: (a) impose one-way working for vehicles from south to north in Abchurch Lane, between Cannon Street and King William Street; (b) further amend the City of London (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) Order 2001 so that the hours during which the existing prohibition on waiting by vehicles (including waiting for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) apply will be changed so that such prohibition will apply at any time in the streets and lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this notice (the restrictions are in operation by virtue of a temporary Order made under section 14 of the above Act of 1984); (c) relocate a motor cycle bay and relocate doctor parking places by converting metered parking in the eastern arm of Finsbury Circus. 3. A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on 24 March 2003 and of a plan showing the affected streets can be inspected, during normal office hours, on Mondays to Fridays until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at the Department of Planning and Transportation, Guildhall, London EC2P 2EJ. 4. Copies of the Orders may obtained from the Department of Planning and Transportation, at the above address or telephoning 020 7332 1108. 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it not within the powers of the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
