APPLICATION FOR AN ORDER AUTHORISING THE STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAY ON CHEETHAM HILL ROAD, CHEETHAM HILL, MANCHESTER
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Manchester intends to apply
to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Crown Square, Manchester on
Thursday 24 April 2003 at 2.00 pm for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act
1980 authorising the stopping-up of the highway specified hereto on the grounds that
it is unnecessary.
A plan showing the said highway may be inspected, without payment at my office Room
601 between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm from Mondays to Fridays.
Any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the said Order may appear before
the Court and make objections or representations thereto. Any person intending to
attend the hearing of the application is requested to inform me, quoting Ref L/RSA/EVD5001/416,
before the date of the hearing of their intention to appear.

Schedule
The section of highway commencing at a point of Smedley Street, Cheetham Hill approximately
14 metres east of the junction with Cheetham Hill Road which comprises an approximate
length of 59.5 metres in a southerly direction with an approximate width varying between
zero and 4.2 metres. Shown as A on the plan.
The section of highway on Cheetham Hill Road, Cheetham Hill which commences at a
point 59.5 metres south of Smedley Street which comprises an approximate length of
18 metres in a southerly direction with an approximate width varying between 3.7 metres
and 4.8 metres. Shown as B on the plan.
