Bath and North East Somerset Council

(A431 KELSTON) (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2003

Notice is hereby given that the Bath and North East Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to introduce temporarily, a 30 mph speed limit on the A431 Kelston which extends from approximately 24 metres north-west of its junction with Kelston Lane, north-easterly to the terminal point of the existing 30 mph speed restriction. This Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road consequent upon the installation of a new access-way for construction traffic, in order to facilitate the construction of a new sewer main. The Council is satisfied that the execution of the works will take longer than 18 months and it is anticipated that they will take 20 months. Once the works are completed, the Order will be revoked.
