INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that BOC Group PLC has applied to the Environment Agency for An Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the production of Acetylene Gas. The installation is located at Whitby Road, Brislington, Bristol, in the Borough/district of Brislington in the County of Bristol. The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the BOC Gases Bristol installation is held in registers at the following locations: Environment Agency Office, Rivers House, East Quay, Bridgwater, Somerset TA6 4YS and Bristol City Council, Brunel House, St. George’s Road, Bristol BS1 5UY. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objection or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below within 28 days from the date of this public notice. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include statement that there has been a request.
