THE EALING (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO 173) ORDER 2003

1. Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Ealing Council, on 13 March 2003, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the Orders would be: (a) to introduce parking places for the use of residents and their visitors in The Croft, Ealing; (b) to provide that the parking places will operate between 9.00 am and 10.00 am and between 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; (c) to provide that passenger vehicles, goods carrying vehicles, motorcycles and invalid carriages, displaying a valid permit or voucher may be left in a parking place without limitation on time during the controlled hours; (d) to introduce a designated parking place for disabled drivers bearing the blue badge in that length of The Croft, Ealing, in its south-eastern extremity, from a point opposite the north-eastern kerbline of The Croft, extending south-westwards for a distance of 5.6 metres; (e) to introduce double yellow line waiting restrictions in those lengths of The Croft specified in the Schedule to this notice and single yellow line waiting restrictions operating during the controlled hours specified in paragraph 2(b) above in the remaining lengths of The Croft. 3. Residents Parking Permits will be available at a cost of £25 per annum. 4. Business Visitors Vouchers can be purchased at a cost of £1 per hour and Residents Visitor Vouchers can be purchased at a cost of 40p for a period of up to 3 hours to a maximum of £1 for all day. Borough wide vouchers will be available to park in the zone for £1 per hour. 5. The Orders, which will come into force on 17 March 2003 and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders will be available for inspection between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at Parkman Ltd., 22-24 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5 2BP, until 28 April 2003. 6. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 28 April 2003.
