NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that J & J Burnett Ltd, of 15 Newland, Lincoln LN1 1XG, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the River Greet between National Grid Ref SK 7235 5360 and SK 7375 5325 at land adjacent to Upton Mill, Mill Lane, Upton, Southwell, Nottinghamshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates, 72 cubic metres per hour, 720 cubic metres per day, 24,000 cubic metres per year (between 1 April and 31 September). The water will be used for the spray irrigation of agricultural crops. A copy of the application and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at Manor Farm, Little Carlton, Newark, between 25 March 2003 and 25 April 2003. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Trentside Offices, Scarrington Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 5FA, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
