THE NEWHAM (PROHIBITION OF STOPPING OUTSIDE SCHOOLS) (NO 2, 1993) (AMENDMENT NO 3) ORDER 2003

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Newham on 10 March 2003, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from stopping or remaining at rest in any length of street specified in the Schedule to this notice between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive during school term time. 3. Exemption will be provided for any person stopping or remaining at rest within any length of street referred to above: (a) in order to avoid an accident; (b) if so required by law; or (c) if done so with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform. 4. A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 17 March 2003, and of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours until 6 weeks from the date on which the Order comes into force on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the offices of the Director of Environment and Regeneration, 25 Nelson Street, East Ham, London E6 6EH. Copies of the Order may be obtained from this address. 5. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of the Act or of any Instrument made under the Act has not yet been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court. Schedule 1.  Cleves School Arragon Road, so much as lies north-west of a point 2 metres north-west of the north-western kerbline of Arragon Road. 2.  Grange Infant School Suffolk Road, the west side, from a point 1 metre north of a point opposite the southern wall of No 1 Welsh Close and No 23 Suffolk Road to a point opposite the north-eastern wall of No 13 Suffolk Road. 3.  Grangewood Indpendent School Chester Road, London E7, the south-east side, from a point 13 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of Katherine Road to the common boundary of Nos 12 and 14 Chester Road. 4.  Hallsville School (a)  Radland Road, the north-east side, from a point 3 metres north-west of a point opposite the northern wall of No 13 Radland Road to the common boundary of Nos 9 and 11 Radland Road and Nos 16 and 17 Gorse Close. (b)  Radland Road, the north-east side, from a point opposite the north-western wall of No 3 Radland Road and No 13 Gorse Close to a point 2 metres south-east of a point opposite the south-eastern wall of Nos 48 to 54 and 66 to 72 Radland Road. 5.  Monega School Monega Road, the south-east side, from a point opposite the north-eastern wall of No 212 Monega Road to a point opposite the south-western wall of No 214 Monega Road. 6.  Oliver Thomas Nursery School Mathews Avenue, so much as lies south-west of a point 0.6 metre north-east of a point opposite the north-eastern wall of No 1 Mathews Avenue. 7.  Portway School Stratford Road, the north-east side, from a point 5 metres north-west of the south-eastern kerbline of Maud Road to a point opposite the south-eastern wall of No 129 a Stafford Road. 8. St Francis R.C. School (a)  Bow Street, the north-west and south-east side, from a point 3.5 metres south-west of a point opposite the north-eastern boundary of No 2 Bow Street to a point 9 metres north-east of a point opposite the south-westernmost wall of No 1 Bow Street. (b)  Maryland Park, the south-west side, from a point opposite the north-western wall of No 29 Maryland Park to the north-western kerb-line of Maryland Square.
