NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Perkins Farms of the Farm Office, 1 Church Lane, Upwood, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE26 2QF is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Whittlesey Dyke, the River Nene Old Course and drains in the area of the March and Whittlesey Internal Drainage Board at Floods Ferry Farm and Bottom Hakes Farm, March parish, Fenland district, Cambridgeshire. The proposal is to abstract water at 68.2 cubic metres per hour, 682 cubic metres per day and up to 32,955 cubic metres between April and September each year for spray irrigation purposes. The application is to renew the licence serial number 6/33/53/S/593 which is due to expire on 30 September 2003 without change to the daily and annual abstraction quantities. A copy of the application and any map, plan or other document submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Floods Ferry Farm, March between 15 March 2003 and 12 April 2003.
