THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES FREE PARKING PLACES (PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES) (AMENDMENT NO  ) ORDER 200

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames proposes to make the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The principal objective of this Order is to provide for disabled persons a parking facility where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult. 3. The general effect of this Order will be: (i) to provide a parking place in which only vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park at any time in the following locations: (a) outside No 88 Atbara Road, Teddington; (b) outside No 90 Buckingham Road, Ham; (c) in Charles Street, Barnes (outside the flank wall of No 27 White Hart Lane, Barnes); (d) outside No 106 Church Road, Teddington; (e) outside No 60 East Sheen Avenue, East Sheen; (f) outside No 11 Elm Road, East Sheen; (g) outside No 22 Fitzwygram Close, Hampton Hill; (h) outside “Robert Black House”, Glamorgan Road, Hampton Wick; (i) outside No 8 Grosvenor Avenue, East Sheen; (j) in Hampton Court Road, East Molesey (near “Ivy Cottage”, Hampton Court Road); (k) outside No 84 Meadlands Drive, Petersham; (l) outside No 45 Roslyn Avenue, Barnes; (m) outside Nos 3-5 Sparkes Close, Hampton; and (n) outside No 129 Waldegrave Road, Teddington. (ii) to revoke the parking places in which only vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park in the following locations: (a) outside Nos 1-2 Beverley Close, Hampton Wick; (b) outside No 2 Cumberland Close, St Margaret’s; (c) outside No 18 North Worple Way, Mortlake; (d) outside No 19 Stanley Road, East Sheen; and (e) outside No 21 Stanley Road, Teddington. 4. Copies of the draft Order, plans showing the locations and extent of the disabled persons parking bays and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected at: (i) the Richmond Central Library, Little Green, Richmond TW9 1QL, during opening hours; and (ii) the Civic Centre (Second Floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ, between 9.15 am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays; for a period of 21 days from the date of this notice. 5. Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to The Transport Planning Manager, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ, within 21 days of the date of this notice giving the grounds of their objection.
