THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (PARKING PLACE) (NO  ) ORDER 200 
LOWNDES SQUARE

1. Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of Order would be to: (a) provide a residents’ parking place on the east side of Lowndes Square; (b) provide that in the residents’ parking place, vehicles displaying a valid parking card bearing the letter “A” issued by the City of Westminster in respect of that vehicle may be left. The charge for its use would be 90 pence per day, unless a valid season ticket is displayed. Season tickets cost £27 for 3 months or £90 for 12 months. Certain vehicles qualify for discounted rates of 60p, £16 and £60 respectively; (c) provide that the parking place would operate between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, and 8.30 am and 1.30 pm on Saturdays; (d) provide that certain other vehicles may wait in the parking place free of charge in certain circumstances eg to allow persons to board or alight (maximum 2 minutes), to load or unload (maximum 20 minutes) and vehicles left by specified disabled persons (no time limit). 3. The proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at Parkman Ltd, Mountbarrow House, 6-20 Elizabeth Street, London SW1W 9RB, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decide not to make the Order. 4. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Department of Planning and Transportation telephone number 020 7641 1956. 5. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing to the Council’s agent, Parkman Ltd, Mountbarrow House, 6-20 Elizabeth Street, London SW1W 9RB, quoting Ref 1001896/WES1504/ORD/2866/KL until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
