NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Henry John Hurrell, of 26 High Street, Burwell, Cambridgeshire CB5 0HB, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the drains at National Grid Refs TL 568 684 and TL 579 677, TL 562 681 and TL 581 669, TL 568 668 and TL 575 666 and the ditches, drains and weirs located to the south west of Burwell in the parish of Burwell. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 32 cubic metres per hour, 320 cubic metres per day and 21,100 cubic metres per year, between 1 April and 31 October each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at 26 High Street, Burwell, Cambridgeshire CB8 0HB, between 13 March 2003 and 11 April 2003. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon PE28 4NE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
