TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section
247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping Up of Highways (County of Kent) (No 2)
Order 2003”, authorising the stopping-up of an area of highway at 22 King Street,
Canterbury, Kent.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Head of
Transport (West), Government Office for the South East, Third Floor, Bridge House,
1 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford GU1 4GA (quoting Ref GOSE/029/001/KENT/010). It may
also be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of the Canterbury City Council,
Military Road, Canterbury, Kent CT1 1YW.
Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof,
or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the power
of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any Regulation made thereunder
has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 13 March
2003, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any
provision contained therein.
