THE A40 TRUNK ROAD (LEA, HEREFORDSHIRE) (RESTRICTION) ORDER 2003

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under sections 82(2), 83(1) and 84(1)(a) and (2) of, and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A40 Trunk Road at Lea in the district of the county of Herefordshire. The effect of the Order would be to impose a 30 miles per hour speed limit on the A40 from a point 100 metres west of its junction with the B4224 to a point 727 metres south-east of its junction with The Old Granary. A copy of the draft Order, plans illustrating the proposals and a statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during opening hours at the Post Office, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire HR9 7JZ; Herefordshire Council, Council Engineering Services, PO Box 236, Hereford HR6 2ZA, or may be seen at or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Operations Division Secretariat, Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL.
