TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that, on the application of Burgess Salmon Solicitors following the holding of a Public Enquiry, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Oxfordshire) (No 5) Order 2003”, authorising the stopping-up of an area of highway at Village Green, Drayton, Oxfordshire. This stopping-up Order has been authorised only in order to enable the development to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted on appeal under Part III of the Act to The Earl of Plymouth Estates Limited by the Secretary of State on 4 March 1998, under Refs: T/APP/V3120/E/97/813565/P7, T/APP/V3120/A/97/ 281843/P7, T/APP/V3120/E/97/813735/P7, T/APP.V3120/A/97/ 284623/P7. Copies of the Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours during the 28 days commencing on 13 March 2003, at the offices of the Vale of White Horse District Council, PO Box 127, The Abbey House, Abingdon, Oxfordshire OX14 3JN, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Head of Transport (West), Government Office for the South East (quoting Ref GOSE 029/001/OXON/038) at the address below. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the power of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any Regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 13 March 2003, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
