THE ISLINGTON (PARKING PLACES) (NO  ) TRAFFIC ORDER 200

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Islington is proposing to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. 2. The general effect of the Orders will be to remove some existing designated parking places in Biggerstaff Street, Fonthill Road and Well Terrace and replace them with new parking places and loading bays. 3. The general effect of the Islington (Parking Places) (No  ) Traffic Order 200 would be to provide parking places in the existing Controlled Parking Zone J as follows: (i) operating between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, designating the following type of parking places in the streets listed: (a) parking places for use with a resident’s permit, hired vehicle resident’s permit, in Fonthill Road; (b) shared parking places for use with a resident’s permit, hired vehicles resident’s permit, business permit, teacher’s permit, or pay and display in Biggerstaff Street, Fonthill Road and Wells Terraces; (c) pay and display parking places in Biggerstaff Street. (ii) operating between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, designating shared parking places for use with resident’s permit, hired vehicles resident’s permit, business permit, teacher’s permit, or pay and display in Fonthill Road and Wells Terrace. 4. The general effect of The Islington (Loading Bay) (No  ) Traffic Order 200 will be to designate parking places for loading only and operating from 8.30 am until 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive in Biggerstaff Street, Fonthill Road and Wells Terrace and operating between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive in Fonthill Road. 5. A copy of the proposed Orders, of plans indicating details of the measures referred to in paragraphs 3 and 4 above, and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date of this notice or from the date the Order is made at the following location: Transport and Design, 222 Upper Street, Islington, London N1 1YA. 6. Further information may be obtained by telephoning Transport and Design on 020 7527 2137. 7. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing to Bram Kainth, Assistant Director of Traffic and Transportation, PO Box 3333, 222 Upper Street, London N1 1YA within a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
