APPLICATION FOR AN ORDER AUTHORISING THE STOPPING-UP OF PARTS OF THE HIGHWAY ADJACENT TO THE FRONT ELEVATION OF THE ARNDALE CENTRE, MARKET STREET, MANCHESTER

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Manchester intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Crown Square, Manchester on Thursday 10 April 2003 at 2.00 pm for Orders under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping-up of the lengths of highway specified hereto on the ground that they are unnecessary. Plans showing the said lengths of highway may be inspected, without payment, at my office Room 601 between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays. Any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the said Orders may appear before the Court and make objections or representations thereto. Any person intending to attend the hearing of the application is requested to inform me quoting Ref L/CR/EVD5001/409 before the date of the hearing of their intention to appear. Schedule 1. The length of highway along the south face of the Arndale Centre from its junction with the east side of the Cromford Court entrance (marked as point A on the plan) for a distance of 62 metres in an easterly direction (marked as point B on the plan) with a width of approximately 0.4 metres. 2. The length of highway along the south face of the Arndale Centre from its junction with the east side of the Brown Court entrance (marked as point C on the plan) for a distance of 70 metres in an easterly direction (marked as point D on the plan) with a width of approximately 0.4 metres. 11 March 2003.
