House of Lords, London SW1A 0PW 6 March 2003 The Queen has been pleased to order a Congé d’Elire to pass the Great Seal of the Realm empowering the College of Canons of the Cathedral Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity in Bristol to elect a Bishop of the See of Bristol, the same being void by the resignation of the Right Reverend Barry Rogerson, B.A., lately Bishop thereof; and Her Majesty has been pleased to recommend to the said College of Canons the Right Reverend Michael Arthur Hill, Suffragan Bishop of Buckingham, to be by them elected Bishop of the said See.
