NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY LICENCES TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Rolawn (Turf Grovers) Ltd., of Rolawn House, York Road, Elvington,
York YO41 4XR, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary Licence Serial No 2/27/28/163
to abstract water from a borehole in the Sherwood Sandstone at National Grid Ref SE
7392 4782 for spray irrigation at Low Farm, Sutton upon Derwent, in the parish of
Sutton upon Derwent, within the Unitary Authority of the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The variations being applied for are:
(1) To increase the rates of abstraction from 48 to 120 cubic metres per hour, 1,028
to 2,600 cubic metres per day and 43,600 to 129,600 cubic metres per year.
(2) To aggregate the annual quantity with Licence Serial No 2/27/28/171. As a result
there will be no overall increase in the annual quantity authorised to be abstracted.
A copy of the application and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with
it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Rolawn House, Elvington,
York, between 7 March 2003 and 11 April 2003.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so
in writing to the Environment Agency, Licensing Section, Coverdale House, Aviator
Court, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4GZ, before the end of the said period.
