Wiltshire County Council

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116 APPLICATION
DIVERSION OF CHUTE FOREST BRIDLEWAY 3 AND (PART) STOPPING-UP

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire County Council intends to make an application to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at Devizes in the said county, on Monday 14 April 2003, at 9.45 am, for an Order authorising the diversion and partial stopping-up of highway, namely Chute Forest Bridleway 3. The application will be made on the grounds that the diversion will make the bridleway nearer or more commodious to the public and the part to be stopped up is unnecessary for public use. A copy of the plan showing the effect of the Order may be inspected, free of charge, at County Hall, Trowbridge, during normal office hours. Please ask for Mr Gale of Legal Services, telephone 01225 713012. Notice will also be posted on site at least 28 days before the application. Any person upon whom notice has been served, any person who uses the highway or any other person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order is requested to give notice in writing to the Acting Solicitor to the Council, Wiltshire County Council, County Hall, Trowbridge BA14 8JN, quoting Ref KG/WCS 05064. Such persons may also attend court and make their objections or representations known. I R Gibbons, Acting Solicitor to the Council County Hall, Trowbridge BA14 8JN. 10 March 2003.
