WATER RESOURCES ACT 1991/ENVIRONMENT ACT 1995
NOTICE OF PROPOSALS TO VARY CERTAIN LICENCES TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that the Environment Agency (the Agency) in pursuance of section 52 of the Water Resources Act 1991, has formulated a proposal to vary the licence listed in the Schedule below to abstract water from the respective underground strata at the respective National Grid Reference and at the respective location referred to within the said Schedule.
The proposal in this case is to vary the licence by extending the existing date of expiry to a new date of expiry (the “common end-date”), for all relevant abstraction licences in the Severn Uplands catchment. It is proposed that the existing expiry date be varied to 31 March 2018. No other changes will be made to the relevant licence as a result of this proposal.
The proposal is being made as part of the implementation of the Agency’s new catchment abstraction management strategies (CAMS). The proposal will enable this licence to be considered for future renewal in accordance with the strategy for the catchment, and at the same time as all other time limited licences in the same circumstances.
