NOTICE OF TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Southwark on 7 March 2003 made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and of all other powers thereunto. 2. The general effect of the Order would to be: (a) Introduce a contra-flow cycle lane on the south side of Union Street between Great Guildford Street and Borough High Street. 3. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 14 March 2003, and plans to which the Order relates can be inspected on Mondays to Fridays inclusive during normal office hours for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made at Southwark Regeneration and Environment Department, Council Offices, Chiltern House, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES. 4. Further information and a copy of the proposed Order may be obtained from Heike Jewell at the above address (telephone 020 7525 5450). 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions contained therein on grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose of the High Court.
