THE SUTTON (ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (SUTTON CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE) (NO ) (AMENDMENT NO ) ORDER 200  [REFERENCE PP402]

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 47 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The principal objective of these Orders is to provide for disabled persons a parking facility where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult. 3. The general effect of the Sutton (Disabled Persons Parking Places) (No  ) (Amendment No ) Order 200  will be: (i) to provide a parking place in which only vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park in the following locations, to operate at all times: (a) outside No 167 Bishopsford Road, Morden (fully on the footway); (b) outside No 37 Daimler Way, Wallington; (c) outside No 208 Demesne Road, Wallington; (d) opposite No 26 Effingham Close, Sutton; (e) opposite No 12 Greenhill, Sutton; (f) opposite No 20 Oliver Road, Sutton; (g) opposite No 22 Pipewell Road, Carshalton (partially on the footway); (h) outside No 73 Ruskin Road, Carshalton; (i) opposite No 13 Sawtry Close, Carshalton; (j) outside “Wesley Lodge”, Shotfield, Wallington; (k) outside No 103 Stavordale Road, Carshalton; (l) outside No 4 Tavistock Walk, Carshalton; (m) outside Nos 17-19 Titchfield Road, Carshalton; (n) outside Nos 14-16 Westminster Road, Sutton (fully on the footway); (o) outside No 27 Whittaker Road, Sutton; and (p) outside No 24 a /24 b Wrythe Lane, Carshalton (fully on the footway). (ii) to revoke the disabled persons parking places in the following locations: (a) outside No 13 Richmond Road, Beddington; (b) opposite Nos 3-4 and 6-4 “Ware Court”, St Albans Road, Sutton; (c) outside No 8 Wandle Road, Hackbridge; and (d) outside No 5 Westminster Road, Sutton. [Ref DS399] 4. The general effect of The Sutton (On-Street Parking Places) (Sutton Controlled Parking Zone) (No  ) (Amendment No ) Order 200  will be to remove one Permit Parking bay in Effingham Road, Sutton. [Ref PP402] 5. Full details of the proposals are contained in the following documents: (a) the draft Orders; (b) plans showing the locations and extent of the disabled persons parking bays; and (c) the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order. These may be examined at: (i) Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday; (ii) Environment and Leisure, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, 9.00 am to 5.00 m Monday to Friday. 6. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Construction and Property Consultancy on 020 8770 6445. 7. If you wish to object to the propsed Orders you should send a statement in writing, including the grounds for your objection and quoting the relevant reference number to the following address by 28 March 2003. 8. Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be made aware that in view of the local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received to this notice, open to public inspection, if requested.
