THE A36 TRUNK ROAD (SKEW BRIDGE IMPROVEMENT, SALISBURY) COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER (OD NO 62) 2003

The land over which the new rights are to be acquired forms part of an open space. Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under section 19(1)(b) of paragraph (6) of Schedule 3 to the Acquisition of Land Act 1981, has certified that he is satisfied the land described in the Schedule hereto forming part of an open space within the meaning of the said Act, is required for the widening of an existing highway and that the giving in exchange of other land is unnecessary, whether in the interest of the persons, if any, entitled to rights of common or other rights or in the interest of the public. A map showing the land to which the certificate relates may be inspected at: The Highways Agency, Room 2/07K, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6HA; Wiltshire County Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire BA14 8JN; Salisbury District Council, Bourne Hill, Salisbury, Wiltshire SP1 5UZ; Salisbury Library, Market Place, Salisbury, Wiltshire SP1 1BL, at all reasonable hours. The certificate becomes operative on the date on which this notice is first published; but a person aggrieved by this certificate may by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from that date, question its validity on the ground that there has been a failure to comply with any relevant statutory requirement relating to the certificate. Schedule 93 square metres of scrub land being open space on the north-east of the Skew Bridge carrying the A36 Trunk Road over the Waterloo to Exeter, via Salisbury, railway line, shown as plot no 6 on the map attached to the Order; 132 square metres of scrub land being open space on the north-east of the Skew Bridge carrying the A36 Trunk Road over the Waterloo to Exeter, via Salisbury, railway line, shown as plot no 7 on the map attached to the Order.
