STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAY IN THE CITY OF LIVERPOOL
The Secretary of State for Transport gives notice that, on the application of Sanderson
Associates, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act, entitled “The
Stopping Up of Highways (City of Liverpool) (No 1) Order 2003”, authorising the stopping
up of Hurst Street, Liverpool.
This stopping up Order has been authorised only in order to enable the development
to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Liver Housing
Association by Liverpool City Council, on 12 January 1999, under Ref 98P/2629.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government
Office for the North West (Transport), Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester
M1 4BE, (quoting Ref GO/TNW 5091/35/1/13). It may also be inspected at all reasonable
hours at the offices of Liverpool City Council, 2nd Floor, Millennium House, 60 Victoria
Street, Liverpool.
Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof,
or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the power
of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any Regulation made thereunder
has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 3 March
2003, apply to the High Court for the suspension of quashing of the Order or of any
provision contained therein.
