Notice is hereby given that Plymouth City Council intend to apply to the Plymouth Magistrates’ Court sitting at St Andrews Street, Plymouth on Thursday 3 April 2003 at 2.00 pm for an Order that all public rights of way over the lengths of highway described in the Schedule hereto subject to a reservation of a right of way for pedestrians, be extinguished. The aforesaid lengths of public highway are shown hatched in black on a plan which may be inspected, free of charge, at “First Stop” Reception Civic Centre, Plymouth on any weekday between 9.00 am and 4.30 pm. Any person objecting to the said application is requested to notify Ann Brown, City Solicitor, in writing quoting Ref 36245/xhw/portland/CR at the address given below, if possible by 27 March 2003. The ground of the application is that the lengths of the highway referred to in the Schedule hereto are unnecessary.
Portland Place East (the entire remaining sections) eastwards from its junction with North Hill (in two parts) to Portland Square, a distance of 50 metres.

Portland Square (the entire remaining length) northwards from Portland Place East to Endsleigh Place, a distance of 50 metres.
