PUBLIC NOTICE OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER SECTION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION CONTROL
Notice is hereby given that Riverside Resource Recovery Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention Control (IPPC) permit to operate a waste to energy plant at Norman Road in the London Borough of Bexley. The application comprises 4 volumes: 1 a brief non-technical summary; 2 & 3 the plant technical data and site geo-technical data; 4 the environment statement—which contains a description of foreseeable significant effects on the environment from emissions. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the Riverside Resource Recovery plant is held in registers at the following locations: The Environment Agency, Swift House, Frimley Business Park, Frimley, Surrey GU16 7SQ; London Borough of Bexley, Civic Offices, Broadway, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7LB; Thamesmead (Newacres) Library, Binsley Walk, Thamesmead, London SE2 9TS. Members of the public can inspect these registers free of charge at the above stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. The application is also available for inspection at the Riverside website www.RRRL.co.uk Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Enviroment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice. The PIR/RSR Team, The Environment Agency, Thames Region, South East Area, Swift House, Frimley Business Park, Frimley, Surrey GU16 7SQ. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
