NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Willow Valley Golf and Country Club Ltd, of Walton Lane, Brighouse HD6 4JB, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a spring fed pond at National Grid Ref SE 1643 2369 at Willow Valley Golf Club, Walton Lane, Brighouse HD6 4JB. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 12 cubic metres per hour, 120 cubic metres per day, 22,000 cubic metres (per year). The water will be used for spray irrigation of tees and greens. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Willow Valley Golf and Country Club Ltd, between 16 December 2002 and 20 January 2003. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG, before the end of the said period.
