NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO STOP UP HIGHWAY PURSUANT TO SECTION 116 OF THE HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

Notice is hereby given that the Medway Council of Civic Centre, Strood ME2 4AU, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates Court sitting at the Court House, The Brook, Chatham, Kent ME4 4JZ, on Wednesday 12 February 2003, at the hour of 2.00 pm for an Order that part of the highway namely alley to the flank of 3 Valley Road, alley between 27 and 29 Valley Road, alley between 43 and 45 Valley Road, alley between 61 and 63 Valley Road, alley to the rear of 109 to 119 Sturdee Avenue, alley between 107 and 109 Sturdee Avenue, alley between 77 and 79 Sturdee Avenue, and alley to the flank of Foresters Hall, 61 Sturdee Avenue, Gillingham, be stopped up as it is considered that the highway is unnecessary and surplus to highway requirements. The effect of the Order is shown on a plan, a copy of which may be inspected, free of charge, at the office of the Council at Civic Centre, Strood, Compass Centre, Chatham, Municipal Buildings, Gillingham and Local Office, Military Road, Chatham, between the hours of 10.00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday.
