THE HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM (PARKING PLACES ZONES A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z) (AMENDMENT NO ) ORDER 2002

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 45, 46 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of, and Part I of Schedule 5 to, the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the Order would be that: “No resident living within a “car free property” shall be eligible for a resident’s parking, business parking or other parking permit or designated space for any specific class of vehicle. For the purpose of the order a car free property shall be any property in respect of which (a) an obligation has been entered into under section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990; or under section 16 of the Greater London Council (General Powers) Act 1974” or (b) a planning permission has been granted which imposes restrictions relating to parking; or (c) an agreement has been entered into in respect of an application under section 184 of the Highways Act 1980 or other enabling legislation and in each case the effect is that there is a prohibition upon the occupiers of the property applying for a parking permit or designated space. 3. A copy of the above-mentioned Order and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the expiration of a period of 21 days at the address given below from the date on which this notice is published. 4. Any person desiring to object to any or all of the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds on which it is made not later than the last day of the 21 day objection period specified in paragraph 3 above to: Traffic Group, Environment Department, Town Hall Extension, King Street, Hammersmith, London W6 9JU.
