ACQUISITION OF LAND ACT 1981

THE A419 TRUNK ROAD (CALCUTT ACCESS ROADS) COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER (NO OD 51) 2002

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers under the above-mentioned Acts, has prepared a Compulsory Purchase Order, entitled as above, which he proposes to make, authorising him to purchase compulsorily the land described in the Schedule to the Order and delineated and coloured pink on the plan and the rights described in that Schedule and delineated and coloured blue on the plan. The land referred to in the above paragraph is authorised to be purchased compulsorily for the following purposes: (a) the improvement of the A419 trunk road in the county of Wiltshire; (b) the construction and improvement of highways and the provision of new means of access to premises in the said county in pursuance of the Side Roads Order; (c) the mitigation of adverse effects which the existence or use of certain highways proposed to be constructed or improved will have on their surroundings; and (d) use by the Secretary of State in connection with such construction and improvement of highways and the execution of other works.
