ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A10 TRUNK ROAD (BUNTINGFORD TO ROYSTON, HERTFORDSHIRE) (40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 200
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on lengths of the A10 Trunk Road between Buntingford and Royston in Hertfordshire. The effect of the Order would be to impose a 40 miles per hour speed limit on the A10 Trunk Road between points: (a) 304 metres south of the centreline of its junction with Royal Oak Close and 393 metres north of the centreline of its junction with the local road known as The Square in the village of Chipping, a distance of 760 metres; (b) 293 metres south and 120 metres north of the centreline of its junction with Bull Lane, Buckland, a distance of 776 metres; and (c) 279 metres south of the centreline of its junction with Black Smith’s Lane and 216 metres north of the centreline of its junction with the local road known as The Joint in the village of Reed, a distance of 810 metres. Copies of the proposed Order, together with a location plan and a statement explaining the reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours, between 5 December 2002 and 3 January 2003, at the offices of Reed Parish Council, Reed House, Jacksons Lane, Reed SG8 8AB; Chipping and Buckland Parish Council, 25 Bowling Green Lane, Buntingford, Hertfordshire SG9 9TA, or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Operations Division, Orders Team, Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL, quoting Ref HA 28/2/111. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should write to the Highways Agency at the above address stating the reasons for objection no later than 3 January 2003.
