APPLICATION FOR AUTHORITY TO STOP UP KILDARE STREET, WIGAN

Notice is hereby given that the Wigan Borough Council, the Highway Authority within the meaning of the Highways Act 1980, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, intends to apply to the Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court sitting at Darlington Street, Wigan in the county of Greater Manchester on 9 January 2003 at 9.45 am for an Order authorising the stopping-up of the highway known as Kildare Street, Wigan on the ground that the said highway is unnecessary. The effect of the Order will be as shown in a plan which may be inspected, free of charge, between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm at the Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan.
