1. Notice is hereby given that Greenwich Council, hereinafter called the Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. 2. The general effect of the Orders would be to create a controlled parking zone in the Elverson Road Station Area which would operate between the hours of 12.00 noon and 2.00 pm, on Mondays to Fridays inclusive and which incorporates the streets or lengths of streets referred to in Schedule 1 to this notice. 3. Residents and business users whose postal address is indicated in Schedule 2 to this notice may purchase permits and visitor vouchers at the rates set out below:

(a) residents permit (specifying up to two vehicles) £11.00 each per year
(b) business first permit £11.00 each per year
each subsequent permit £110.00 each per year
(c) residents visitors vouchers (valid for one day) 30 pence per voucher (sold in £3.00 books of 10 vouchers)
The permits for the controlled parking zone would only be valid in the zone for which they are issued. The maximum entitlement of permits for business users would be 10 permits per year and the maximum entitlement of residents visitors vouchers would be 100 per household per year. 4. The further effects of the Orders would be to: (a) designate permit parking places, on certain lengths of the streets specified in Schedule 3 to this notice, operative between 12.00 noon and 2.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, where vehicles displaying a valid parking permit or residents visitors voucher would be permitted to wait without time limit; (b) designate free parking places operative between 12.00 noon and 2.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive on certain lengths of the streets specified in Schedule 4A to this notice where vehicles may wait, free of charge, without time limit; (c) designate free parking places operative between 12.00 noon and 2.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive on certain lengths of the streets specified in Schedule 4B to this notice where vehicles may wait, free of charge, for a maximum period of one hours and where return to that parking place would be prohibited for one hour; (d) impose waiting restrictions operative between 12.00 noon and 2.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, on certain lengths of the streets specified in Schedule 5 to this notice; (e) impose waiting restrictions operative between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, on certain lengths of the streets specified in Schedule 6 to this notice; (f) impose waiting restrictions operative between 9.00 am and 7.00 pm on Mondays to Saturdays, on certain lengths of the streets specified in Schedule 7 to this notice; 5. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Order being amended and plans showing the locations and effects of the Orders, together with the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at The Parking Shop, Greenwich Council, 2nd Floor, Peggy Middleton House, 50 Woolwich New Road, Woolwich SE18 6HQ. 6. Copies of the proposed Orders can also be inspected at all local libraries and at West Greenwich Housing Office, 125 Greenwich High Road, London SE10 8JL and Ivy’s Cafe, 57 Conington Road, London SE13. 7. Any person desiring to object to the proposed Orders or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the Councils’ Agents, TMO Services, 4 Snell Gardens, Herne Bay, Kent CT6 7SU, quoting Ref LBG/2135, by 18 December 2002. 8. Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice, open to public inspection.
