HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116

STOPPING-UP OF UNNECESSARY HIGHWAYS WALKWAY (PART) AND ADJACENT STAIRCASE GREEK STREET, LEEDS

Notice is hereby given that Leeds City Council intend to apply to the Leeds District Magistrates’ Court sitting at The Courthouse, Westgate, Leeds, on Monday 16 September 2002, at 2.00 pm, for an Order, under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the stopping-up of the following areas of highway described in the Schedule hereto on the ground that they are unnecessary. The areas of highway to be stopped up are shown coloured black and hatched black on the Plan deposited at the Information Centre, Civic Hall, Leeds LS1 1UR, and may be inspected there, free of charge, during normal office hours. Any person wishing to object to the proposal, or make representations about it, may appear at the Leeds District Magistrates’ Court on the date aforesaid. Any person intending to appear before the Court at the hearing of the application is asked to notify Mr J Knipe, Development Section, Department of Legal Services, Leeds City Council, Civic Hall, Leeds LS1 1UR (quoting Ref A76/JAK/866908).
