ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (HIGH STREET NORTH, DUNSTABLE, BEDFORDSHIRE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 200
The Secretary of State hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order, under sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2) and 4(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the A5 Trunk Road, at Dunstable in Bedfordshire. The effect of the Order would be to prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time on the A5 Trunk Road, High Street North, Dunstable, between points 99 metres and 139 metres north-west of its junction with West Street, other than: a disabled badge holder waiting in the disabled parking bay, or a taxi waiting in the taxi rank. A copy of the proposed Order, a plan illustrating the proposals and a statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected, during normal office hours, at the offices of URS Thorburn Colquhoun, 200 Harpur Centre, Horne Lane, Bedford MK40 1TS; South Bedfordshire District Council, The District Offices, High Street North, Dunstable, Bedfordshire LU6 1LF; or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Operations Division, PPD Orders Team, Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL, quoting Ref HA 41/5/62. The restrictions and requirements imposed by this Order would be in addition to any other Orders already in force on the above length of trunk road. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should write to the Highways Agency at the above address stating the grounds of objection not later than 9 September 2002.
