NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that TotalFinaElf UK Ltd, of 40 Clarendon Road, Watford, Hertfordshire WD1 1TQ, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the Taplow Gravel’s at National Grid Ref TQ 0170 7992 at Langley Terminal, Station Road, Langley, Berkshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 12 cubic metres per hour, 288 cubic metres per day, 105,120 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for groundwater remediation. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Langley Library, Trelawney Avenue, Langley, Slough, Berkshire SL2 7UF, between 23 August 2002 and 23 September 2002. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Team Leader, Water Resources, Thames Region, North East Area, Apollo Court, 2 Bishop Square Business Park, St Albans Road West, Hatfield AL10 9EX, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
