PROPOSED STOPPING-UP OF PARTS OF CORNWALL ROAD AND UPPER GROUND

Lambeth Council hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order, under section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, entitled the Stopping-up of Highways (London Borough of Lambeth) (No    ) Order 2002. The general effect of the Order would be to authorise the stopping-up of parts of the footway of Cornwall Road and Upper Ground and the improvement of other parts of the footway of Cornwall Road and Upper Ground. The term stopping-up means that the parts of the road mentioned will cease to be public highway. If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Coin Street Community Builders Limited by the Council. If you have any enquiries about this, please telephone Transport and Highways on 020-7926 2208. Copies of the draft Order and the relevant plan may be obtained from and inspected at the Council’s offices, Transport and Highways, 3rd Floor, Blue Star House, 234-244 Stockwell Road, London SW9 9SP, free of charge, at all reasonable hours, during a period of 28 days from the date of publication of this notice (that is, until 6 September 2002). Any person may object to the making of the proposed Order within a period of 28 days from the date of the publication of this notice, by giving notice to the Council.
