NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Waldersey Farms Limited, of Northfield Farm, Lynn Road, Southery,
Downham Market, Norfolk PE28 0HT, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence
to abstract water from the Littleport and Downham Internal Drainage Board’s drains,
dykes and ditches within the boundary of Martins Farm in the parishes of Welney and
Hilgay in the district of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk, in the county of Norfolk.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 100 cubic metres per hour,
1454.7 cubic metres per day, 90,900 cubic metres per year between 1 April and 30 September
each year at any point or points on the above-mentioned drains. The water will be
used for spray irrigation of arable crops. The above application is to replace an
existing licence which expires on 30 September 2002.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it
may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours, at Northfield Farm, Lynn
Road, Southery, Downham Market, Norfolk between 15 August 2002 and 15 September 2002.
Any person who wishes to make representation about the application should do so in
writing to the Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon PE18 8NE,
before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
