NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that T & J A Sore of Marward House, Stock Corner Farm, Beck Row, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP28 8DW, are applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water by means of two boreholes from the chalk underground strata at National Grid Refs TL 6800 7820 and TL 6751 7770 at Mildenhall parish, Forest Heath district, Suffolk The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 14.5 cubic metres per hour, 272.7 cubic metres per day and 15,710 cubic metres per year (all year) from either one or both of the boreholes in total. The water is for spray irrigation purposes between 1 April and 31 March the following year. The application is for the replacement of existing Licence Serial No. 6/33/39/G/374 which would expire on 30 September 2005 with an additional block of land. Licence Serial No. 6/33/39/G/374 would be revoked on issue of the replacement licence. A copy of the application and any map, plans or other documents may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Marward House, Stock Corner Farm, Beck Row, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP28 8DW between 30 May 2002 and 27 June 2002. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE28 4NE, before the end of the said period quoting the name of the applicant.
