THE STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAYS (COUNTY OF ESSEX) (NO 5) ORDER 2002

The Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions hereby gives notice that, on the application of Mrs K Hamilton-Smith, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Essex) (No 5) Order 2002” authorising the stopping-up of an area of highway land at the junction of Church Road with Leigh Drive, Wickham Bishops, Essex to enable development consisting of change of use of land from highways to residential to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Mrs K Hamilton-Smith by Maldon District Council on 15 July 1997, under Ref FUL/MAL/97/0378. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the East of England (Environment Group), Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL, (quoting Ref GT/X1545/35/1/32) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Maldon District Council, Princes Road, Maldon, Essex, and the notice board of the Wickham Bishops Parish Council, the Street, Wickham Bishops, Essex. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 21 March 2002, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
